Time For A Breather
But that doesn't mean we're not planning big things
IN THIS NEWSLETTER: Mandel Fan Fest; Overlapping Campaigns; Hints of the Future; A Rising Tide; Paul’s Favorite Pages (paid)
Last Saturday, I got to table at Mandel Fan Fest at the Mandel Public Library in West Palm Beach, Florida. This was my first time at a library con, and it didn’t disappoint. We even ended up on the local news! (about 46 seconds in)

This also marked the official end of our campaign for The Olympian #2, as we closed out late pledges (we kept them open for anyone who bought #1 at Fan Fest). On an aside, welcome to all the new subscribers from The Olympian campaign!
The day before Fan Fest, we sent out the vast majority of rewards for Heroes & Zeros #2.
And with those two days, we wrapped up a span of almost three months where we were promoting/running one campaign as well as fulfilling another. It was draining but it was SO worth it to get these all out to you! Still, I think we’ll try to avoid that in the future. Better to be able to focus all our energy on one comic at a time.
SO, WHAT EXACTLY COMES NEXT?
That’s a great question. Our plan is still to finish the original story arcs for both Heroes & Zeros (one jumbo-sized issue to go!) and The Olympian (three more in the queue) before starting any new projects. As to what those projects may be, I’d love to get your opinion on some of the ideas we’ve been playing around with!
Of course, we also have more stories to tell in the Heroes & Zeros and Olympian worlds. Feel free to comment and tell us why you chose what you chose, and if there were other ideas listed that you also find intriguing!
A RISING TIDE
We highlighted this one in pre-launch, but we’re truly excited for it and want to see it blow past its funding goal. Check out The Ruth Avenue Raiders by Damien Becton and Marina Otegui Ruiz!
The Ruth Avenue Raiders is a 90-page all ages/middle-grades, 90’s cartoon inspired FOOTBALL graphic novel that blends the playground politics of Recess with the absurdist humor of Agents of S.U.I.T., and captures the souldful hart of Hey Arnold! and the coming-of-age and competitive spirit of Dragon Hoops.
GIVEAWAY WINNERS!
Congratulations to this month’s (claimed) prize winner, Paul Rashid! He’ll be getting a free comic of his choosing. I didn’t hear from the other three randomly-selected subscribers before publishing, so I will be converting their prizes into $5 donations to The Hero Initiative (to be added to donations from our website sales).
And if you check your junk mail and see the notification from me, please still reach out. We appreciate everyone’s support and I’m sure we can still send something cool your way.

PAUL’S FAVORITE PAGES
Welcome to our paid subscribers, and thank you SO MUCH for your support! This is the first time since we opened paid subscriptions in January that we’re not actively receiving new art to share, so this month I’ll put myself on the spot and share my one favorite page from each of our comics to date! We’re also including links to each of our digital comics, in case you haven’t had a chance to check them out yet.
